Video Klip ke 14 dan 2 Lagu Baru Mike Shinoda

Akhirnya video ke 14 dari album Post Traumatic dirilis juga. Track nomor 13 yakni I.O.U. baru saja dirilis menyusul video klip Can’t Hear You Now yang dirilis pada bulan Desember 2018 lalu. Namun sisa lagu yang belum dijadikan video klip tidak berkurang malah bertambah. Karena Mike merilis extended version album Post Traumatic dan menambahkan 2 lagu baru yakni Prove You Wrong dan What The Words Meant. lagu baru mike shinoda

Konsep video I.O.U. adalah menampilkan berbagai penggalan penampilan Mike ketika membawakan lagu I.O.U. yang dijadikan satu video klip berdurasi sesuai dengan lagunya sendiri. Sederhana?

Lirik I.O.U. Mike Shinoda

Levitating off the blacktop
Used to struggle getting started now I can’t stop
Used to be the quiet kid in the sandbox
Now it’s hands up every time that your man rocks
They ought to stop me coming in again
You mad / you thought we were synonyms
Too bad that’s the water you’re getting in
You’re too fat for the sharks that you’re swimming in
From where I’m sitting contenders are
Looking like fruit spinning around in a blender
Hardly a snack when I’m here looking for dinner
I eat ‘em delete ‘em they’re barely beginners
Main course is my main sport
Play major but Minor’s my main Fort
Put a chain around everything I came for
Look but don’t touch sucker

Tell ‘em take an I.O.U.
Say they want respect now / thinking they deserve to have it next now
Tell ‘em take an I.O.U.
Believing what they’re making up / talking loud but never really saying much
Tell ‘em take an I.O.U.
I been drawing plans out / and they think I’m giving them a handout
Tell ‘em take an I.O.U.
Thinking they’re entitled to a piece no / I don’t think so
Tell ‘em take an I.O.U.

Levitating in a blackout
Used to drink at least a 40 ‘fore we mashed out
Used to think that working 40 was a max out
Now I’m working even when I’m sleeping do the math now
‘Cause even when I’m sleeping, eyes keep ‘em open
Stripe across ‘em both the color of your hemoglobin
A huge act man like I’m known for being Logan
X-23 I’m keen to leave ‘em with a femur broken
Taking it too far maybe / Friends like
Mike I don’t know who you are lately
But pride and hate has made naysayers mistake me
For wasting brain space on ratings they gave me?
I don’t need your respect I got history / I’m
‘81 Reagan with that nonsense: miss me
Father like Francis, Anakin or John Misty
Not to be touched sucker

Tell ‘em take an I.O.U.
Say they want respect now / thinking they deserve to have it next now
Tell ‘em take an I.O.U.
Believing what they’re making up / talking loud but never really saying much
Tell ‘em take an I.O.U.
I been drawing plans out / and they think I’m giving them a handout
Tell ‘em take an I.O.U.
Thinking they’re entitled to a piece no // I don’t think so
Tell ‘em take an I.O.U.

Lirik Prove You Wrong Mike Shinoda

Welcome to the breakdown
Tired of playing games now
Make it no mistake
I will prove you wrong
I’m sick of being patient
Underestimated
This will be the day
That I prove you wrong

Walkin’ in the building
Everybody still askin’ how I’m feeling
Have I felt like I finally caught a rhythm
Now I know what kind of answer I should give them
But I say I’m just trying to know where the next step is
Looking for the “go” where the “ready, set” is
Tryna find a beat I can get in step with
I’m just tryna breathe, let me get a breath in
Yes I know, we can’t all follow where I plan to go
All I want is faith in the path I chose
All I want is faith in the path I chose

So welcome to the breakdown
Tired of playing games now
Make it no mistake
I will prove you wrong
I’m sick of being patient
Underestimated
This will be the day
That I prove you wrong

I was on a high for a minute
Feeling just right, just fine for a minute
And then my vibe could turn on its side in a minute
The second I asked you if you had my back
And in your hesitation, betrayed, you did not
I asked you for confidence you haven’t got
Heartbreakin’, you basically end and you find
There was no way to take it but anger inspired
So there you go
All I want is faith in the path I chose
All I’m getting back is an “I don’t know”
Standing in the flames as the fire grows

So welcome to the breakdown
Tired of playing games now
Make it no mistake
I will prove you wrong
I’m sick of being patient
Underestimated
This will be the day
That I prove you…

I’ve been to the bottom now
And I may go back again
Even if I could turn back time
There are things out of our hands
I’ve been to the bottom now
And I may go back again
Even if I could turn back time
There are things out of our hands
I’ve been to the bottom now
And I may go back again
Even if I could turn back time
There are things out of our hands
I’ve been to the bottom now
And I may go back again
Even if I could turn back time
There are things out of our hands

So welcome to the breakdown
Tired of playing games now
Make it no mistake
I will prove you wrong
I’m sick of being patient
Underestimated
This will be the day
That I prove you wrong
Welcome to the breakdown
Make it no mistake
I will prove you wrong
Welcome to the breakdown
This will be the day
That I prove you wrong

Lirik What The Words Meant Mike Shinoda

The first time I heard it
Didn’t know what it was
I listened to it over and over
I couldn’t get enough
I knew every syllable
And the space in between
And I wondered
What my own song would be

I thought I understood what the words meant
I thought I knew the meaning behind
I memorized the sounds and the rhythms
And wondered about the stories inside
I thought I understood what the words meant
I thought that they were written for me
A message spelled out in a language
That only those who’ve been there
Been there can read

The first time I heard it
Didn’t know what it was
It was foreign and angry and brilliant
I couldn’t get enough
But the story behind it
You revealed it to me
And I realized
You had lived through what I had never seen

I never understood what the words meant
I never knew the meaning behind
I memorized the sounds and the rhythms
But didn’t know the stories inside
I never understood what the words meant
The words were never written for me
A message spelled out in a language
That only those who’ve been there
Been there can read

I wish I didn’t know what the words meant
Or understand the meaning behind
I memorized the sounds and the rhythms
And now I know the stories inside
I wish I didn’t know what the words meant
That they were never written for me
A message spelled out in a language
That only those who’ve been there
Been there can read

Been there
Been there can read
Been there
Been there can read
